Ingredients
Scale
1 pound ground pork
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon fish sauce
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 cup cooked white rice
1/2 cup shredded carrots
1/2 cup thinly sliced cucumber
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
1/4 cup chopped fresh mint
2 tablespoons sriracha mayonnaise
1 tablespoon pickled red onions (optional)
Instructions
In a bowl, combine the ground pork, soy sauce, fish sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Mix well.
Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the pork mixture and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned and cooked through.
Divide the cooked rice among serving bowls.
Top the rice with the cooked pork.
Arrange the shredded carrots, sliced cucumber, cilantro, and mint around the pork.
Drizzle with sriracha mayonnaise.
Add pickled red onions, if using.
Notes
For a vegetarian option, substitute the ground pork with firm tofu or tempeh.
You can make the sriracha mayonnaise by mixing 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise with 1 teaspoon of sriracha. Adjust to your spice preference.
Pickled red onions can be made by soaking thinly sliced red onions in vinegar for at least 30 minutes.
