Make these simple, rich Oreo bites without turning on your oven. This recipe uses few ingredients and comes together fast for an easy dessert or snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (14.3 oz) Oreo cookies
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar, plus more for dusting
  • 4 oz semi-sweet chocolate, melted (for coating, optional)
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil (for melting chocolate, optional)

Instructions

  1. Place all Oreo cookies, filling included, into a food processor. Pulse until you have fine crumbs.
  2. Transfer the crumbs to a medium bowl. Add the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar.
  3. Mix the ingredients together using a hand mixer or a sturdy spoon until a uniform dough forms.
  4. Roll the dough into small, one-inch balls. Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Chill the Oreo balls in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
  6. If coating, melt the chocolate and coconut oil together in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  7. Dip each chilled ball into the melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off. Return to the parchment-lined sheet.
  8. Refrigerate the coated bites until the chocolate sets, about 15 minutes.

Notes

  • If you do not have a food processor, place cookies in a large zip-top bag and crush them thoroughly with a rolling pin.
  • For a different texture, roll the chilled balls in sprinkles or extra crushed Oreos instead of chocolate coating.
  • These bites keep well in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
