Make this incredibly easy Sheet Pan Lemon Garlic Butter Salmon for a quick, flavorful weeknight dinner. This recipe delivers moist, flaky salmon fillets with bright lemon and rich garlic butter, all cooked on one pan for minimal cleanup.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 (6 ounce) salmon fillets, skin on or off
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 lemon, thinly sliced
  • 1 pound asparagus, trimmed (or broccoli florets)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper for the easiest cleanup.
  2. Place the salmon fillets on one side of the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle the salmon lightly with olive oil.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Spoon the garlic butter mixture evenly over the top of each salmon fillet.
  5. Arrange the trimmed asparagus spears on the other side of the baking sheet around the salmon. Drizzle the asparagus with a little more olive oil and sprinkle with a pinch of salt and pepper.
  6. Place thin slices of lemon directly on top of each salmon fillet.
  7. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. The cooking time depends on the thickness of your fillets.
  8. Remove from the oven and serve immediately. This is a great healthy salmon main dish.

Notes

  • For a low carb salmon meal, skip starchy sides and serve with a large green salad.
  • If you prefer a different vegetable, this sheet pan salmon works well with green beans or sliced zucchini.
  • To achieve that restaurant-quality flavor, use fresh garlic instead of jarred minced garlic.
