You can make rich, decadent chocolate fudge with only three simple ingredients. This no-bake recipe guarantees a smooth, melt-in-your-mouth texture every time you make it. It is perfect for quick desserts or homemade candy gifting.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 (12 ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on two sides for easy removal. Lightly grease the paper.
  2. In a medium microwave-safe bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk and chocolate chips.
  3. Microwave on 50 percent power for 60 seconds. Stir well. Continue microwaving in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth. This usually takes 1 to 2 minutes total. Do not overheat the mixture.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract until fully combined.
  5. Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking pan. Spread it evenly using a spatula.
  6. Refrigerate the fudge for at least 2 hours, or until firm enough to cut.
  7. Lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment paper overhang. Place it on a cutting board.
  8. Cut the fudge into small squares. Store the creamy fudge in an airtight container at room temperature or in the refrigerator.

Notes

  • For a different flavor, substitute the semi-sweet chips with milk chocolate or dark chocolate chips.
  • If you want to add texture, fold in 1/2 cup of chopped nuts or mini marshmallows after stirring in the vanilla extract.
  • This recipe is a fantastic base for other quick dessert recipes; try adding a pinch of sea salt for a salted chocolate flavor.
