Ingredients
Scale
2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed (about 1 inch)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional, for savory)
1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional, for sweet)
Instructions
Peel and cut the sweet potatoes into uniform 1-inch cubes. Uniform size helps them cook evenly.
In a medium bowl, toss the sweet potato cubes with olive oil, salt, pepper, and your choice of optional spices (paprika for savory or cinnamon for sweet).
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
Place the seasoned sweet potato cubes in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Do not overcrowd the basket; work in batches if necessary for best crisping.
Air fry for 15 to 20 minutes, shaking the basket vigorously every 5 minutes to turn the cubes.
Check for doneness after 15 minutes. The cubes are ready when they are golden brown and crispy on the outside and easily pierced with a fork.
Remove from the air fryer and serve immediately.
Notes
For extra crispiness, you can lightly spray the basket with cooking spray before adding the potatoes.
If you prefer a softer texture, reduce the temperature to 380°F (195°C) and increase the cooking time slightly.
If using cinnamon sugar, toss the cooked cubes with the sugar mixture immediately after removing them from the air fryer.
