Make crispy, moist salmon patties quickly using your air fryer. This recipe uses canned salmon for convenience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (14.75 ounce) can salmon, drained and skin/bones removed
  • 1/2 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, flake the drained salmon with a fork. Remove any remaining bones or skin.
  2. Add the breadcrumbs, beaten egg, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, parsley, onion powder, and pepper to the bowl. Mix gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
  3. Form the mixture into 6 equal-sized patties, about 1 inch thick.
  4. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Place the patties in a single layer in the basket, ensuring they do not touch. You may need to cook in batches.
  5. Spray the tops of the patties lightly with cooking spray for better browning.
  6. Air fry at 380°F (195°C) for 10 to 12 minutes, flipping the patties halfway through the cooking time.
  7. The patties are done when they are heated through and the exterior is golden brown and crisp.
  8. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • If you prefer a gluten-free option, substitute almond flour or gluten-free breadcrumbs for the regular breadcrumbs.
  • For extra flavor, add 1 tablespoon of finely chopped fresh dill or chives to the mixture.
  • If using fresh or frozen salmon, cook about 4 ounces of salmon until flaky, cool it, and then proceed with the recipe. Adjust the binder amounts slightly if the mixture seems too wet.
