Make crispy, tender salmon bites quickly in your air fryer and coat them in a spicy, creamy Bang Bang sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound salmon fillet, skin removed and cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust to your spice preference)
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon cubes dry with paper towels. Toss the cubes in a bowl with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  2. Arrange the seasoned salmon cubes in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd the basket; cook in batches if necessary.
  3. Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the salmon is cooked through and slightly crispy.
  4. While the salmon cooks, prepare the sauce. In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and lemon juice until smooth.
  5. Remove the cooked salmon bites from the air fryer. Place them in a clean bowl.
  6. Pour the Bang Bang sauce over the hot salmon bites and gently toss to coat evenly.
  7. Serve immediately over rice or with steamed vegetables.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, lightly dust the salmon cubes with a thin coating of cornstarch before tossing with oil.
  • If you prefer a milder sauce, reduce the sriracha amount or substitute it with a dash of paprika.
  • You can use frozen salmon if you thaw and pat it completely dry before seasoning.
